1 .lie in; lie on; result in; lead to

【辨析】lie in 在于 、位于 ；lie on 位于 ；result in 导致 、 引起；lead to 导致 。

【例句】The real trouble lies in heir lack of confidence in their abilities .

真正的麻烦在于他们对自己的能力缺乏自信 。

2 . account for; care for; allow for; call for

【辨析】account for 解释 、 阐明；care for 喜欢 、喜爱；allow for 容许 、 允许；call for 要求 。

【例句】He behaves in a strange manner,and nobody can account for this .

3 .result in; bring in; lead into; result from
