1. be worth doing值得被……（主动形式表被动含义）

The book is well worth reading这本书很值得被读。

2. be busy doing正忙着做I am busy preparing for the coming final exam我正忙着为即将到来的期末考试做准备。

3.too.todo..太…而不能The boy is too young to go to school.这个男孩太小了以至于不能去上学

4.so+adj/adv. as to do如此……以致于She worked so hard as to pass all her tests她学习如此努力以致于通过了所有考试。

5. It takes sb. some time to do sth.做某事花费某人…时间It takes me15 minutes to go to school every day每天上学花费我15分钟的时间

6. sb. spends some time （in）doing sth.某人花…时间做某事I spend20 minutes in doing my homework every day我每天花20分钟写作业。

7.It is+adj.+ for sb. to do sth.对某人来说，做某事是…的It is important for zookeepers to protect the pandas.对动物园管理员来说，保护动物是重要的。

9.sb. have some difficulty/ trouble（in）doing sth.某人做某事有困难He has some difficfty（in） studying English他在学英语方面有困难

10. sb. can do nothing but do sth.= have no choice but to do只好/只能I can do nothing but tell him the truth我只好告诉他事实

11. It is said that..据说It is said that you are going abroad.据说你要出国

12.not..unti..直到I didn' t go to sleep until my parents came back知道我父母回来我才上床睡觉

13.主语+find/ consider/ think+it+形容词或名词+不定式I find it interesting to see this film我发现看这部电影和有趣

14.so+adj/adv.+that如此……以致于……uch+n.+that.如此…以致于The lady is so happy that she can' t say a word.这位女士如此高兴以至于说不出话来She is such a kind girl that everyone likes her in her class.她是如此善良的女孩以致于班上每个人都喜欢15. why not do sth为什么不做……呢？

19. i don't think/ believe/ suppose/ expect+that从句否定前移Idon' t think he will win the game我认为他不会赢得比赛

20. would like to do想要做某事 i feel like doing想要做某事 had better（ not） do sth（不做）某事woud rather do宁愿做I would like to drink some water我想喝水

21. It is no use doing sth.做某事没有用处It is no use watching too much TV看太多电视是没用的。

22.主语+ have no idea+从句不知道I have no idea when he will come back我不知道他什么时候回来

23. no matter when /where/what /who /whether /how.cie No matter who you are, you must obey the law.无论你是谁，都必须遵守法律。

24. used to do过去常常做某事 be used to doing习惯于做某事I used to make a joke on him我过去常常开他玩笑

25. It is possible/ probable/ likely that..可能It' s possible but not likely/ probable that he' l come here next month他下月有可能来这里，但是不是很肯定
